It's Shower Time!

My lovely cousins offered to throw me a fantastic shower and of course I accepted! Below are my cousins Tara, Lisa, and Dana and their mama Gayle. It's always a crazy good time when the ladies of the family get together for a party! Lots of laughing and joking around so I knew that it was going to be great...and it was!

We played the traditional dice game and then........it was present time! Check out this ADORABLE little outfit. I can't get over the "tiny" factor...I just love these little clothes!

I think that this gift was more for my mom...she loved it! And what's not to love!?

This is a little inside thing between Heather and me...she's always called me Pookie Bear since I was little and she found a book by Sandra Boynton with Pookie in the title...ME!

I am just so thankful that I have so many loved ones that take the time to celebrate with me! We had such a great time!!!

Okey Dokey!

32 weeks!! YAYYY!

Well if you can't tell by the smile on my face...I'm getting closer to the end of this pregnancy! I've actually LOVED being pregnant because I've been one of the fortunate ones that hasn't had to deal with being sick. For those of you girls who have...you are amazing! Without the sickness, there are still the "not so fun" times of being pregnant. Like right now, I have a hard time breathing because my little one takes up so much space. Taking a deep breath is a chore these days! Getting comfortable in the middle of the night is quite difficult I have to say. My mom tells me that these restless nights are to prepare me for when my little guy arrives and wants mama's attention at all hours! I'll be a sleepy one, but a happy mama too!
We have yet to set up the baby's room (all of the baby furniture is currently in boxes sitting in my dining room), we have not settled on a name yet...we are getting closer and closer to my due date and I haven't filled out my maternity leave paperwork for work (oops!)...BUT we are still just as excited if not MORE excited for September to arrive!!

Growing and growing and growing...

My entire pregnancy so far has flown by...with the exception of these last few weeks for some reason. I'm really not sure why but it seems like I've been 25 weeks along for a LOOOOONG time. However, I'm guessing that this next month will fly by with work, finishing remodeling our upstairs, getting a new driveway, having an irrigation system installed, and preparing to head out west for a vacation and family reunion! YES, you are right...we are BUSY! We just really want to have our house and yard, etc. just the way we want it before our little man joins us. So the next few months are going to be stressful and crammed full but we'll feel so amazing once we are all finished and settled.

Ultrasound Results!

This past Tuesday Kevin and I went in for my 20 week (actually 21 week) ultrasound at the doctor! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was when we saw our little one on that screen. My heart started thumping so loud and I had the biggest smile on my face. I looked over at Kevin and his eyes were bugging out of his head. It really made it REAL to see the baby in there playing around, doing flips, kicking the nurses hand. It was the best experience ever!

So it is official...the newest little addition about to join the Marrott family is going to be a mini version of Kevin. IT'S A BOY! And we are psyched. We would have been happy with either a boy or a girl but now that we know that it's a boy...it's SHOPPING TIME! I've held off this whole time and haven't bought anything. I have been driving JoDell crazy because she wanted to know what I was having. Well now we know...so let's start this shopping stuff! The afternoon after my ultrasound I went shopping and bought the cutest little outfit. I couldn't help myself.

Last night we went out with my folks to dinner and a movie and my dad gave me a shopping bag with a little newborn outfit in it and on the onesie it said "Off to Grandpa's House" and had a little car on it...the pants had cars all over them! I about died with how adorable the outfit was. And my dad was so proud!

This is so wonderful and everyday is a new adventure with this little guy doing gymnastics in my stomach!

Prego Update...

Alrighty, I am 17 weeks along, although, somedays I feel like I'm already 9 months! Things are going really smooth though now that I'm through my first trimester and all of the queasy nights have passed. It's getting more and more exciting now that I'm starting to show and people are noticing the bump. Kinda funny!

We have BIG news!

Well the time has finally arrived...we are going to have a little addition to our family! Kevin and I are very excited (and nervous at the same time) to become parents. We've waited 8 years for this to happen and it's finally here. I am due September 22, 2009 and the time is flying by already!

So the Marrott household is FINALLY coming of age and has their very own computer in their home! Can you believe it? I have to say though that my mom is a little upset about this. For years we have been mooching off of the folks and using their computers for all of our work/internet needs. She is a little worried that we won't come over as often now that we don't need access to a computer. But I told her that as long as she keeps on cookin' for Kevin, we'll be there! LOL

We love having this around though! I can finally create my OWN iTunes for my iPod...we can email like crazy...Kevin finally has a FaceBook page...maybe NOW I will keep up with my blog!
